How to Restore Azure SQL DataBase

Hello Folks,

Microsoft Azure SQL DataBase has built-in support for backup and self service point time of restore DataBases based Azure Subscriptions this can be allowed only for Basic, Standard, Premium and there is no restore option for Web and Business subscriptions.

The Backup retension period also based on the Subscription.

For Basic - 7 days, Standard - 14 days, Premium - 35 days.

Now creating the test DataBase in Azure and am deleting the DataBase.

There is an option of Restore in Bottom panel



Click on that, it will open a window for typing the DataBase name.





 Type your deleted DataBase name and Click on Ok.

Now the DataBase is online.

How to change Azure DataBase Size

Hi,

While working With Azure DataBase, By default creation of DataBase the Limit is coming as 250GB.
This we can change in Azure management Portal.

1.  We need to select the DataBase.
2   Go to Sclae tab and there is a maxSize ComboBox it will show.





While changing Limitations follow this Document.

The type or namespace name 'SharedAccessBlobPolicy' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)

While Working with Window Azure Storage, NuGet Manager provides necessary dependencys like Azure management Blobs, ShareAccessBlobPolicys.

Install nuGet Package.

And add the references of namespaces like.

using Microsoft.WindowsAzure.Storage;

using Microsoft.WindowsAzure.Storage.Auth;

using Microsoft.WindowsAzure.Storage.Blob;

System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception from Windows Azure website

Hello,

Exception Message: Access is denied,
System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception this kind of Issue manly will come because of Azure DataBase Connection string Wrongly entered.

ConnectionString should be like this

<add name="SqlServer" connectionString=" Server=tcp:qa88bialki.database.windows.net,1433;Database=TestAzure;User ID=saapp;Password=harikrishna@!;Trusted_Connection=False;Encrypt=True;Connection Timeout=30;"/>

In the Above string qa88bialki is ServerID

TestAzure is DataBase Name,
  
 saapp is UserId for the AzureDataBase server,


harikrishna@! is the Password for that Server,
